Earl Daley is a highly respected cricket coach, administrator, and development leader with over twenty years of experience contributing to the growth and advancement of cricket in the United States and internationally. His career reflects a deep commitment to athlete development, high-performance coaching, and building sustainable youth and regional cricket programs.
A former USA National Team player and Jamaica Select Cricket Board XI representative, Earl competed at elite levels and faced some of the greatest legends in world cricket, including Clive Lloyd, Gordon Greenidge, Brian Lara, Curtly Ambrose, Courtney Walsh, and Michael Holding. These experiences shaped his technical understanding of the game and his appreciation for professional standards, discipline, and sportsmanship.
As a coach, Earl has led programs at every level — from grassroots youth development to regional and national high-performance environments. He has served as Head Coach for New York, New Jersey, and Atlantic Regional teams, guided the first Junior Olympic Cricket Team to championship success, and developed athletes at DreamCricket Academy and Starsport Academy. He also founded the Staten Island Youth Cricket Program and the BOAC Youth Program, creating vital access points for young players in underserved communities.
Earl holds multiple international coaching certifications, including ICC/Cricket Australia Level 2 and WICB Level 2 and Level 1 credentials, along with specialist certifications in blind cricket, hearing-impaired cricket, and athlete safeguarding. His commitment to inclusive coaching ensures that cricket remains accessible to athletes of all abilities.
His high-performance exposure includes working with world-class coaches and players such as Ian Pont, Tom Moody, Courtney Walsh, Wendell Coppin, Andy Pick, Kumar Sangakkara, Shiv Shivnarine and CPL high-performance staff, strengthening his expertise in elite training systems, player psychology, and performance analysis.
In recognition of his lifelong service, Earl was inducted into the Cricket Hall of Fame in 2017 for his contributions to the development of cricket in the United States. He has also received awards from the Maryland Cricket League and a commendation from the Mayor of Edison for his impact on youth cricket.
In 2024, Earl served as Liaison Officer for the Sri Lanka national team during the ICC World Cup in New York and as Practice Coordinator for all World Cup teams in New York, further demonstrating his trusted leadership at the international level.
